Sports massage combines more traditional deep tissue methods with active and passive stretching and tissue mobilisation tailored to target specific muscle groups depending upon the individuals needs.
Sports massage is typically used to relieve muscle tension and reduce muscle pain occurring due to training or injury. It also has applications in increasing joint range of motion and reducing stiffness post-activity.
Pre-event massage can be used to help an individual prepare both physically and mentally.
Taping to reduce pain, swelling and bruising at sites of injury without reducing joint range of motion.
Taping to provide support and reduce movement at injured joints.
